After chasing the ball at least 15 times, this animal lays in the snow with the ball in his sights just waiting for me to say OK, let's go again!! The top photo shows him trying to hide the ball from Grace and McGee, (which he did successfully). What tires Ralph, is actually McGee. I throw the ball, Ralph retrieves and then has to run with this little rat nipping and biting his legs and feet to try to bring him down. Bad dog, McGee. The most amazing thing is that Rough, Scary, Might Bite a Stranger Ralph, let's this little annoying runt dog bite his feet, his legs, his side, his face and Ralph just spins around trying to fake him out and bring the ball back to me so we can start over again. And over and over and over and over and over. Ralph suffers from major obsessive, compulsive disorder as you all well know. Vet says best remedy is more exercise. HELLO! We're out there in the snow 2 or 3 times a day. I think Ralph needs to grow up and move on to being the lazy dogs we've had in the past. They weren't interested in anything but eating and sleeping, they would never attack the mailperson or growl at the jogger or have to be restrained when the UPS guy rings the bell!!
Funny thing is ... as he's aging he's sleeping lots more and seems to enjoy it. Maybe there's hope yet. As long as he can fetch...and you can see in the photos, he loves his big rubber ball, he'll be our OCD and ADD Ralph the Dog, and we love him all the more.
